Winter Storytime

Good Morning Storytime
Tuesday Morning
March 13th –April 24th
10:15 – 11:00 am (ages 2-5 years old)
Wednesday Morning

March 14th-April 25th
10:00 -10:30 am (ages 2-3 years old)

Night Owl Storytime

Thursday Evening
March 15th –April 26th
6:30 -7:00 pm ( ages 4-5 years old)

Enjoy stories, sing songs, create special crafts, and make new friends. Parents or caregivers must accompany child in the library during storytime.

BINGO at the Library
Children ages 5 and up are invited to try their luck in an hour of bingo fun with prizes and special treats. Parents or caregivers must accompany child in the library during program.

WINTER READING PROGRAMS

Chicago Wolves “Read to Succeed”
Ends March 3rd
Grades 1st- 8th
Read 10 books and earn chances to win Chicago Wolves Hockey tickets and other Chicago Wolves merchandise.

“Ice Cream for Books”
Ends February 25th
Toddlers –Kindergarten
Read to earn special rewards and chances to win cool prizes.
Be sure to turn in reading logs before the ending dates to be eligible for the drawings

 

Saturday Morning Movie: “Winnie the Pooh”
Saturday, January 21st, 11:00 am

Families are welcome to enjoy the recent release of this classic movie about a certain bear and his unforgettable friends. Refreshments will be served. Call the library to register at (708) 448-1530. Run time 63 minutes.

 


Valentine Tootsie Pop Flowers
Saturday, February 11th, 1:00 pm

Ages 5 and up. Create Tootsie Pop flowers for your special Valentine. Call the library to register at 708-448-1530.

 

     

Lil Critters’ Live Educational Animal Show
Saturday, March 3rd, 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

All ages welcome. Meet and greet your favorite furry and not so furry friends at the Lil Critters’ Live Educational Animal Show and learn how animals live and survive in their natural habitat. Meet Gracie the rabbit, Hugo the Lizard, Archie the Toucan and many more of the “Lil Critters”. The drawing for prizes for the Winter Reading program will immediately follow the program. St. Patty’s Pot of Gold Craft
Tuesday, March 13th, 4:30-5:15 pm

Ages 5 and up. Make your own pot of gold and fill it with golden goody treats. Call to register for this craft at 708-448-1530.

 

Spring Cupcake Decorating
Saturday, March 24th, 1:00 - 2:00 pm

Ages 5 and up. Families welcome. Learn basic decorating techniques and take home a Spring treat. All supplies will be provided. Call to register for this special event by March 20th at 708-448-1530.
