Welcome to the Palos Park Public Library Website!
The Palos Park Public Library is open to serve the community six days a week. The library's collection and services include books, magazines, newspapers, videos, DVD's, audio books, CD's, reference materials and databases, local history information, public internet access and programs for adults and children.

Visiting the Library From Home
Palos Park Public Library card holders can order books, renew items, find book discussion guides, access global information from newspapers and magazines from around the world or search for local news, sports, health, and obituaries. The Macy’s Museum Adventure Pass
This program provides free admission to 17 unique cultural destinations throughout the Chicago area to Palos Park Library Card holders. Use your library card to check out a free pass to any of the participating institutions. Admission offers vary per museum. Cantigny Park, and Brookfield Zoo are just a few of the museums accepting the Adventure Pass. Details can be found at

84th Academy Awards Contest
Predict the winners of the 84th Academy Awards and win a DVD of the 2012 nominated “Best Film”. Palos Park Library cardholders may pick up an entry form at the front desk between January 24th and February 25th. Winners will be announced February 27th.

Congratulations to Amalia Nietogomez winner of the National Library Card Sign- Up Month raffle pictured with her new Nook e-reader which she can use to download e-books from the library's new digital collection.

When you search our “24 Hour Resources”, you are searching through a collection of databases, or structured information, subscribed to by the library. In these databases, experts have collected the most relevant, accurate and current information and organized it by subjects which we have divided up for you. For example, information about famous people can be found in our "Biography Resource Center", or information relating to science can be found in our "Science Resource Center". Searching through these databases, or resources, is very different from searching the Internet using Google, Bing or any other search engine. The information found in our databases is high quality, reliable and verifiable and you don’t have to scroll through pages of links to find accurate and current information. World Book Info Finder contains content and features designed for school-aged patrons’ homework and research needs. Based on the World Book Encyclopedia, the site features rich collections of multimedia on a variety of topics, science fair projects; a Biography Center; links to world newspapers, correlations to curriculum standards, 21st century research guides, and much more.
