The Great Food Debate
Tuesday, Sept. 9th, 7 p.m.

Join Chicago authors (The Beat Cop’s Guide to Chicago Eats) Bull Garlington and Lt. David "Biscuit" Haynes, as they loudly debate the pros and cons of Chicago's favorite foods. Like their historic predecessors, Lincoln and Douglas, Siskel and Ebert—and Cagney and Lacey—Haynes and Garlington are master debaters. Their spirited food feud will ring through the ages as the final argument to resolve the most important and pressing issues of the region's victuals: Where do you get the best ribs? What makes a perfect Italian sandwich? And, most importantly, should one put ketchup on a hot dog? Join the conversation and let your fried foody voice be heard! (Lt. David Haynes can be heard each Friday on WGN's "Policing the Movies;" Garlington's columns are in Chicago Parent.) Register for this program online here or call the library at (708) 448-1530.
