Accessibility Statement
Our Commitment to Accessibility
The Palos Park Public Library is committed to providing an inclusive and accessible online experience for all members of our community, including people with disabilities.
We believe everyone should be able to access information about the Library’s collections, programs, services, resources, and community activities. We continue to work toward improving the accessibility and usability of our website and digital services.
Accessibility Efforts
The Palos Park Public Library website has undergone accessibility review and remediation to improve accessibility and support conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.
Accessibility improvements include addressing areas such as keyboard navigation, content structure, accessible names and labels, color contrast, images and alternative text, forms, links, and compatibility with assistive technologies.
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. As website content, technologies, and services change, we will continue to evaluate and improve the accessibility of our digital experience.
Third-Party Content and Embedded Services
Some pages on our website may include content, applications, widgets, documents, or services provided by third parties. This may include content displayed through embedded code, iframes, external platforms, catalogs, calendars, maps, forms, media players, or other third-party services.
While we work to provide an accessible experience throughout our website, some third-party content may contain accessibility limitations that are outside the Palos Park Public Library’s direct control.
Where possible, we work with third-party providers and seek accessible solutions. We also continue to evaluate third-party content as part of our ongoing accessibility efforts.
If you encounter an accessibility barrier with third-party or embedded content, please contact us. We will make reasonable efforts to assist you and, where possible, provide the information or service through an alternative accessible method.
